Submit a Notice

Member orders publish their own notices from their portal, at no per-notice fee. This form is for a notice from an order that is not yet on the gazette, or from a person acting for one; submissions are reviewed by the gazette before publication.

Submit a new proprietary term for publication as a notice of record. Each publication constitutes dated evidence of use under 15 U.S.C. §1051 et seq.

Nothing is charged for time-stamping, fingerprinting or anchoring — they are part of the record.

What Happens After Submission

    Editorial review — ISG staff verifies the record and contacts you if clarification is needed. Typical turnaround: 2–5 business days.

    Publication — Notice appears in the next Thursday issue with volume and issue reference.
  3. 3
    Fingerprint — The notice’s SHA-256 fingerprint is computed from its exact wording the moment it is published and shown on the notice.
  4. 4
    Weekly anchoring — The issue digest is time-stamped (RFC 3161), submitted to OpenTimestamps (Bitcoin) and to the Wayback Machine; the token and proof are downloadable from the issue page.
  5. 5
    Roadmap — County recording and apostille as optional upgrades; Arweave and Library of Congress deposit as further layers. Shown on a notice only once done.
